Family - Our Greatest Joy

I don't have any recent pictures of my kids and grandkids, so I stole them from their blogs (sorry guys). I just want to have something on here about all of them, since I am so far behind and missed birthdays and all kinds of things. We feel so blessed to have all of our kids and grandkids live right here in town with us, but we are also aware that we probably take it way too much for granted. It seems we are all so busy and the weeks go by so quickly, that we often do not spend the time together that we should. We love them all so much.
Jason & Ashley have loved their new home in Richfield. It is a beautiful home and big enough that we have invaded it a few times for some of our family get-togethers. Sekoya will turn 7 in June this year - she is in first grade and oh so smart! She is on a competing cheer team and loves it - will soon be heading to California for a National competition. Katera is 3 1/2 and full of personality. She loves going to pre-school & wants to do everything her big sister does. They are both so full of energy and really keep Ashley on the run, since Jason is traveling so much of the time. They all love camping & doing anything outdoors.Mark & JaLee recently spent a week with JaLee's family at California and Disneyland. They had a wonderful trip and especially enjoyed the beach after all the snow we have been having this year. Braxton will be 10 this year and is in 3rd grade. He is getting so tall - loves to read, collect football cards, play the Wii & this year decided he loves the DENVER BRONCOS. His dad won't complain about that. Parker is now 7 years old and in 1st grade. He has been quite the entrepreneur the last few months, selling lemonade at his Grandpa Lane's corn stand and now farm fresh eggs. He loves a project and is never satisfied with the simple answers to a question - wants to know how, why, where, and what....so many details. Then, there is sweet little Aubrei, who has been such a blessing in our lives. She will be 4 in June and her progress this last few months has been amazing. She is now saying a few words and learning to sign. She goes to pre-school where she keeps the teachers hopping. She is a very busy girl, but oh how we love her! She LOVED Disneyland!Okay - so this is not a recent picture of Melissa & Morgan's family. Melissa has been so busy with her business that she has not blogged lately and I couldn't "steal" a picture. I'm going to have to work on getting NEW family pictures again - maybe this summer??? Makayla will be 10 in about a month - she is in 4th grade and is growing into quite the beautiful young lady. She is learning to play the guitar and is pretty darn good at it. She loves scrapbooking, reading, & playing with her friends. Hayden is so busy - rarely sits still. He will be 8 in July so he has a special birthday this year. He is in 2nd grade, loves the Wii & his Nintendo DS, but also loves to be outside running, jumping, skating, anything that requires a ton of energy. The baby of our family, precious Preslie, is almost 3 years old. She just graduated to a "big girl" bed and now grandma doesn't have any more babies in cribs. Kind of sad! Preslie loves animals and she can even eat PeAnUt BuTtEr - Makayla and Hayden are both allergic. It is so great to have these kids all live here so we can go to piano recitals, cheer competitions, ball games, Primary programs, school programs, etc.... Hopefully I will do a better job of keeping up with all of our happenings!
