Mom said her bedspread was just fine - but we told her it looked too much like Christmas. She hasn't seen her new one yet, but I took her a pillow sham so she could see the colors. She seemed to like it. It will look even more beautiful with new carpet & paint. These changes are all a little bitter-sweet, I think. She misses dad so much - maybe the changes will make it a little easier in some ways, but harder in others.
