Okay - so the timing is not so great with worries about the economy and our jobs! But...we hope this project will be! This is our new cabin for our property at Quakie Haven - well, half of it anyway. I don't have any more pictures right now, but will add some later. We purchased this 1984 modular home on February 10th and hope to have it sitting on our property by the end of May or first part of June. It is old and in need of a lot of work, but we are hoping that our kids, our grandkids, and many other of our family & friends will get to enjoy this for many, many years to come. We have a lot of plans, but it will most likely take a lot of work, quite a bit of money, and a few years to get the cabin and our site exactly the way we want it. But, this is a start and with everyone's help, this will be a great legacy for our family - a place to build many happy memories! Wednesday, February 11, 2009

How fun!!! What an awesome "project". Good luck.
How fun for you guys and your family! Those grandkids are going to have so much fun there. I'm sure you will have it fixed up in no time at all! Congrats!
Our little house in Rockville has turned out to be the best family get together. Everyone always wants to come and Thanksgiving has become a tradition there. Problem is that it is too small now. It would be a great time to add on, but I know what you mean about the economy and someday we need money to retire! We always thought we could sell the Rockville house for retirement, but there would be a lot of protests if we did. Good for you guys. Hope you have lots of fun in the process of putting it all together.
