Where did January Go?

So much for New Year resolutions. I haven't kept up my blog, I haven't kept up my journal, and I haven't lost any weight! So what happened to January and half of February for that matter?

Life happened....

Crazy at work with year end accounting, W-2's, 1099's, etc. etc.

Doctor appointments - the "over 50" variety - not fun, but necessary. Results good so far.

NFL football playoffs and the Super Bowl! (I know.... not important to some!)

Missing Dad - still hard in so many ways.

Took a "me day" off work and ended up having a melt down. No way to explain, just hard. Thanks to loving kids and husband, it only lasted one day.

Major Peterbilt repairs and winter roads!

Brian & Rachel Crofts - a new baby girl on January 5 - Lauren Mae.

Mom (Grandma Carol) - doing better, finished physical therapy on Jan 22, even drove to Kelly's house and was excited about her new independence. Then.... disaster... she fell again on Jan 27 and hit her head on the concrete driveway. 4 stitches - 3 days in the hospital - 3 CAT scans and finally released. Now back to physical therapy, but her attitude is good and she is determined to get better fast.

Grandma Utahna - getting weaker every day, but her poor little heart just keeps on ticking. She has lost so much quality of life and we pray for her every day. We just don't know what Heavenly Father's plan is for her or what lesson we might need to be learning.

Spending time with grandkids..... so grateful to have them close.

Trip to St George on Feb 2 & 3 - Nahna went with me. Visit with mom, shopping, helping mom with paperwork, and MORE shopping. A really fun trip, but too short.

Gaylen - getting better each day after his heart attack in October.

Worried - Leslie & MaryLou battling cancer. It has been brutal for both of them and we have had many prayers. They are two very courageous women and have awesome families supporting them. We hope they win their battles in 2009.

Our country - a new president, scary times, layoffs at work, no loads in the trucking business - BUT hopeful for things to improve.

GOALS - to try and be better prepared for what is ahead!

How is MaryLou doing? I never hear anything about her and didn't even know she had cancer except that Tristan told me after you told him. Is there anything I can do? Are they here or do they stay up north for treatments?
