It's official - we are starting our kitchen face lift and the apples are gone!! (Yahoo) But, boy, are we in a mess! Morgan started today to build us new counter tops - they are called grani-crete and are so beautiful. (Check out Melissa's blog to see some of the finished product) Kirk has always wanted granite but it is so expensive. When Morgan learned how to do these counter tops with concrete, we were all for it. However, Kirk didn't realize that new counter tops were only the beginning. I am using this opportunity to get rid of ALL my apple decorations, which have adorned our kitchen for over 11 years. It didn’t take me any time at all to box up the apple decor and load it in the car to be delivered to the DI. Now I am looking forward to new paint, new faucet, new cabinet knobs, new blinds, new decor, and maybe even a new dining room table. We’ll see how far the budget takes us! The only thing I’m not looking forward to is being in a mess for a couple of weeks or more in order to get everything done!
